‘Jago’ Party Initiates Campaign against Reservations
First & Only Political Party in the country to stand against Reservations
‘Jago’ Party, an upcoming national political party with an out-of-the-box radical vision, unveiled its programme and policies for the state here today. Sh Deepak Mittal, National President, Jago, outlined the party’s campaign against Reservation, Corruption, Crime, & Poverty.
The top-most issue on the party agenda is the ‘Campaign against Reservations’. ‘Jago’ believes that Reservations are a bane in the modern Indian system. The reservation system leads to divisive politics and causes mutual mistrust & animosity between factions of the society competing for a limited number of seats, weather in education or in jobs. ‘Jago’, perhaps the only political party in the country to openly stand against the reservation system, is against any kind of reservation. The party believes that under the current system, reservations do not help the intended beneficiaries, rather cause great harm to the entire society. Instead of achieving their stated objective of fairness amongst society, Reservations are causing further inequality and hostility between sections of the society. With each generation, the benefits of Reservation got limited to a select few families of the ‘creamy’ layer and thus the true socially & economically backward masses, that are the intended beneficiaries, rather lost than gained. ‘Jago’ believes that Quality Education & Equal Job Opportunity for Everyone are the best solutions in the current scenario.
Speaking on the occasion, Sh Mittal said, "Those lobbying for reservations are basically helping no-one except their own selves. They are not interested in benefiting anybody, apart from selfishly forwarding their own political agendas at great cost to the civil society. Their only policy is to play the age-old ‘Divide and Rule’ principle, and provoke innocent masses into narrow sectarian or regional thinking for their own political gains. And then, many of those, who are not actively into divisive politics, are scared of going against the current and openly voicing their dissent against the strong reservation lobby."
"The workers and leadership of ‘Jago’ are, however, committed to the cause and will stay the distance, no matter how strong the opposition. We will take the tough but right path that will lead to a more equal, a more cohesive and a more prosperous India. We will always stand against those who try to entice voters with short-term, divisive & mirage-solutions like Reservations," added Sh Mittal.
‘Jago’ Party believes that Quality Education & Equal Job Opportunities for Everyone are the tools that the common man need to fight hunger, poverty and unemployment. Also, Privatization of Electricity is another step that will put the country on the path to prosperity. Privatization of Electricity will ensure that even villages get an assured supply of electricity at the soonest and industries will feel encouraged to move in the rural sector. It is the result of the entry of private players in the telecommunications sector, that even those villages, which do not have access to roads or electricity, can boast of mobile phones. If a similar model is followed for the production and distribution of electricity, all Indian villages will be assured electricity and this will increase job opportunities in the rural areas.
Speaking on the conception of the Jago Party, Sh Mittal said, "Jago is an upcoming national political party with an out-of-the-box radical vision, led by educated & competent individuals dedicated to working beyond petty political agendas for the common good of the Indian masses. We witnessed that all political parties, be they national or regional, were playing division politics based on caste and religion. They were silently endorsing corruption and criminalization in politics. Hence, gathering a national team of like-minded people, with the objective of providing Indian masses with a trustworthy and honest political option, we formed the Jago Party in January 2008. We consider corruption, crime and reservations to the biggest challenges that our society today faces. We are against any politicization on the basis of caste or religion. We will provide the voting public with dependable candidates who are honest and free from any taint of corruption or crime of any kind."
"We consider schools and colleges to be the temples of modern India where the next generation will formed and shaped. With quality education, we pledge to fight hunger, poverty and unemployment. We are against all hypocritical politicians. Many politicians voice disapproval against English education for the public and yet send their own wards to the costliest private English schools. We believe in the principals of truth, honesty & transparency and with these we will win the hearts of the public. We are highly delighted at the support that we have received, especially from the educated sects and we are confident that we will be successful in performing to the hopes of people of India," added Sh Mittal.
Sh Mittal declared that ‘Jago’ will further intensify the party’s massive nation-wide Awareness Drive, where workers will campaign door-to-door educating masses to the party’s programmes against Reservations, Corruption, Crime, & Poverty all over the country. ***
