Jago Party’s Unique Commitment

Direct Subsidy of Rs 600/- per month for Every Voter
No Middle-man, No Corruption - Money Deposited directly into Voter’s Bank Account
Sh Deepak Mittal, National President of ‘Jago’ Party, an upcoming national political party with an out-of-the-box radical vision, made a unique commitment on Subsidy Policy of his party here, in the Pink city, today. Sh Mittal announced that his party would abolish all Non-Merit Subsidy and provide No-Middleman, Corruption-Free Direct Subsidy of Rs 600/- per month to every voter.

There are two kinds of Subsidies -- Merit and Non-Merit. Merit subsidy is for sectors like elementary education, research, forestry, environment, information etc where the benefits are reaped by the society as a whole. Non-Merit subsidy is directed towards specific groups of population – such as subsidy on food, fertilizer, petroleum, electricity etc. The total expenditure on Non-Merit Subsidy is currently estimated at $100 billion or Rs 4,00,000 crores. It is common knowledge that a major chunk of this subsidy ends up in the pockets of the middlemen and only an insignificant portion manages to reach the intended beneficiaries. Jago Party advocates the complete abolition of Non-Merit Subsidy only. Instead an equivalent cash amount will be deposited directly into the bank accounts of every voter.

There are at present about 40 crore voters in India. If the total subsidy of Rs 4,00,000 crores is distributed equally amongst all voters, it amounts to Rs 10,000 per year. Keeping in view the rising number of voters, Jago Party has allotted an amount of Rs 600/- per month per voter as direct cash subsidy. This money will be deposited directly into the bank account of every voter without the interference of any middleman. This will reduce corruption, encourage people to vote & participate in the democratic process, and provide a life-long steady income to the poor, the senior citizens & the needy. This is not just a sugar-coated, unlikely proposition but a declaration of commitment backed by solid financial facts.

Jago Party is also dedicated to abolishing all Reservation based on Caste or Religion. The party is also committed to provide Quality English Education for all and free education poor students. This will ensure that every student possesses creditable education & commensurate job skills and is not dependent upon the bane of reservation for jobs. The party considers schools and colleges to be the temples of modern India where the next generation will formed and shaped. With quality education, we pledge to fight hunger, poverty and unemployment.

Jago Party will also bring about radical changes in the country’s taxation system. The Tax Regime will be simplified. The total Number of Taxes will be significantly decreased. 10% will be set as the Maximum Tax Limit for any kind of tax. These measures will virtually eliminate the need for tax evasion, black money and bring transparency to the system. The crooked governmental structure will be curtailed to curb corruption. To achieve this, the scope of Government dominion would be limited to law & order, justice, defense, currency, foreign relations, taxation, security-related industries, scientific research and overall facilitation & monitoring of economy. Hence, all other activities such as those pertaining to education, municipality, hospitals, records management etc. currently undertaken by the government would be replaced by private commercial enterprises.

The safety and security of the citizens is top priority for the party. To achieve this stronger legislation and firm implementation of strict anti-terrorism acts will be utilized. The Law & Order Infrastructure will be significantly improved and further empowered. Anyone committing heinous crimes like terrorism, murder, rape, kidnapping or dacoity will be punished with death. Also, the party will ensure that all cases are decided within 3 months by all courts.

Speaking on the occasion Sh Mittal said, "Our nation is a democracy, a ‘Lok-Tantra’, a Government for the people and by the people. It is the ‘Lok’, the People that should be given precedence, not the ‘Tantra’, the Administration. The ‘Lok’ should rule and should be serviced by the ‘Tantra’ and not vice versa. The objective of the Government is solely to provide good governance to all the people. Till that happens, I will not allow a moment of peace to myself or to those obstructing the rights of the common man."

Sh Mittal asserted that soon the people of India will witness the rise of a new national power. He further voiced that the masses are currently disappointed with and largely disinterested in the democratic process in the country. This is a highly worrying scenario for any democracy. The empty promises and corrupt administration & governance have disillusioned the public to such an extent that the common man does not even bother to vote. Jago Party is dedicated to reigniting the interest of the voters in the democratic process to strengthen the Indian democracy. ***

‘Jago’ Party Initiates Campaign against Reservations

‘Jago’ Party Initiates Campaign against Reservations
First & Only Political Party in the country to stand against Reservations

‘Jago’ Party, an upcoming national political party with an out-of-the-box radical vision, unveiled its programme and policies for the state here today. Sh Deepak Mittal, National President, Jago, outlined the party’s campaign against Reservation, Corruption, Crime, & Poverty.

The top-most issue on the party agenda is the ‘Campaign against Reservations’. ‘Jago’ believes that Reservations are a bane in the modern Indian system. The reservation system leads to divisive politics and causes mutual mistrust & animosity between factions of the society competing for a limited number of seats, weather in education or in jobs. ‘Jago’, perhaps the only political party in the country to openly stand against the reservation system, is against any kind of reservation. The party believes that under the current system, reservations do not help the intended beneficiaries, rather cause great harm to the entire society. Instead of achieving their stated objective of fairness amongst society, Reservations are causing further inequality and hostility between sections of the society. With each generation, the benefits of Reservation got limited to a select few families of the ‘creamy’ layer and thus the true socially & economically backward masses, that are the intended beneficiaries, rather lost than gained. ‘Jago’ believes that Quality Education & Equal Job Opportunity for Everyone are the best solutions in the current scenario.

Speaking on the occasion, Sh Mittal said, "Those lobbying for reservations are basically helping no-one except their own selves. They are not interested in benefiting anybody, apart from selfishly forwarding their own political agendas at great cost to the civil society. Their only policy is to play the age-old ‘Divide and Rule’ principle, and provoke innocent masses into narrow sectarian or regional thinking for their own political gains. And then, many of those, who are not actively into divisive politics, are scared of going against the current and openly voicing their dissent against the strong reservation lobby."

"The workers and leadership of ‘Jago’ are, however, committed to the cause and will stay the distance, no matter how strong the opposition. We will take the tough but right path that will lead to a more equal, a more cohesive and a more prosperous India. We will always stand against those who try to entice voters with short-term, divisive & mirage-solutions like Reservations," added Sh Mittal.

‘Jago’ Party believes that Quality Education & Equal Job Opportunities for Everyone are the tools that the common man need to fight hunger, poverty and unemployment. Also, Privatization of Electricity is another step that will put the country on the path to prosperity. Privatization of Electricity will ensure that even villages get an assured supply of electricity at the soonest and industries will feel encouraged to move in the rural sector. It is the result of the entry of private players in the telecommunications sector, that even those villages, which do not have access to roads or electricity, can boast of mobile phones. If a similar model is followed for the production and distribution of electricity, all Indian villages will be assured electricity and this will increase job opportunities in the rural areas.

Speaking on the conception of the Jago Party, Sh Mittal said, "Jago is an upcoming national political party with an out-of-the-box radical vision, led by educated & competent individuals dedicated to working beyond petty political agendas for the common good of the Indian masses. We witnessed that all political parties, be they national or regional, were playing division politics based on caste and religion. They were silently endorsing corruption and criminalization in politics. Hence, gathering a national team of like-minded people, with the objective of providing Indian masses with a trustworthy and honest political option, we formed the Jago Party in January 2008. We consider corruption, crime and reservations to the biggest challenges that our society today faces. We are against any politicization on the basis of caste or religion. We will provide the voting public with dependable candidates who are honest and free from any taint of corruption or crime of any kind."

"We consider schools and colleges to be the temples of modern India where the next generation will formed and shaped. With quality education, we pledge to fight hunger, poverty and unemployment. We are against all hypocritical politicians. Many politicians voice disapproval against English education for the public and yet send their own wards to the costliest private English schools. We believe in the principals of truth, honesty & transparency and with these we will win the hearts of the public. We are highly delighted at the support that we have received, especially from the educated sects and we are confident that we will be successful in performing to the hopes of people of India," added Sh Mittal.

Sh Mittal declared that ‘Jago’ will further intensify the party’s massive nation-wide Awareness Drive, where workers will campaign door-to-door educating masses to the party’s programmes against Reservations, Corruption, Crime, & Poverty all over the country. ***
Main objectives of Jago Party ::
-- To remove reservation based on caste, religion, etc.
-- To provide mandatory job-oriented education in English medium through private schools; complete financial aid to poor students.
-- To ensure court judgments in 3 months; death penalty for major crimes like murder, terrorism, rape, kidnapping, corruption etc.
-- To end corrupt and inefficient method of giving subsidy through government schemes. In its place, direct transfer of cash amounting to Rs 600 p.m. to all voters.
-- Reduction in the number and rate of taxes. No tax rate including Income Tax to be more than 10%. Same tax rate to be equally applicable to all income groups with no exceptions or exemptions.
-- Limiting the function of the government to bare minimum like defense, law & order, currency, foreign relations, environment and scientific research. Privatizing all other activities currently undertaken by the government.

Jago Party -- A Backdrop

Jago Party is essentially a party of citizens with non-political background, common people like you and me. It was formed with the major goals of eliminating reservation, tackling crime and terrorism with severest punishment (death sentence) and banishing corruption from India. The party devoted to bringing the activity of government to the basics and all other activities be divested or put under the private sector. The educational agenda of the party is free education for all in English medium in private schools. So is the aim of privatizing the Power Sector and Railways. Above all, the mission of Jago Party is to make India a very safe, strong and rich country.
Within a year , more than 2 lakh people have come forward to support the party. Sadly enough, the party is not well known as yet. Becoming a part of a national party will channelize our efforts in one direction and bring fruitful results. Otherwise, though there may be changes at the surface nothing will change at the core of our nation. We are surrounded by enemies and are alone, if only all the Indians come together we can face the challenge.
The politicians have developed vested interests in the system they will not gift us reforms, we have to snatch it from them and for that reason more and more people need to join politics so that politics does not stay the game of scoundrels.
If only people would know that work has already started and their help is absolutely needed then only we could expect a change of such magnitude. This is where you, the reader, become the key element in the chain. I request you to make people aware of the Party and its goals and help the great cause.
Expecting the most from you in this work of nation building.

India & Terrorism

No More Non-Alignment, Join NATO to Fight Terror
“Charade of Resignations Insufficient, Methodic Strategy & Tangible Action is need of hour,” says Deepak Mittal
Chandigarh, December 08, 2008 ::
Sh Deepak Mittal, National President of ‘Jago’ Party, an upcoming national political party with an out-of-the-box radical vision, outlined the party’s strategy to effectively fight terror, here today. Speaking on the heinous terror attacks on Mumbai, Sh Mittal said that it is high time India gave up the out-dated & useless policy of Non-Alignment being followed by the central government and joined the powerful alliance of North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) countries to fight terror.
The more than half-century old Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) is no longer relevant in the current world order. The world is no longer divided in two super-power political blocks. New questions being faced by the country require fresh answers. Old age solutions no longer work in face of new challenges. India should join NATO at the earliest to defeat the menace of cross-border terrorism once & for all. Once we are part of the strong NATO alliance, any attack on India will be considered an attack on NATO and all the member countries will reply with their combined might to fight the source of the attack.
Terrorism is now a national crisis and we should all rise above petty politics to fight this threat to our country. This is not the time for idle emotional rhetoric, but for a long-term, strategic & methodic plan to fight the danger, followed by flawless execution of tangible, effective & time-bound action-plans on both the national & international fronts. We should not allow our anger to simply drain away or turn into pessimism. It is our duty to ensure that our righteous anger turns into positive action against terror to rid our country of this menace. We need to make concrete efforts not only on the international diplomatic front but also on the domestic front, identifying our weaknesses and rectifying our past mistakes in the fight against terror.
Our present laws are insufficient to fight terror. Stronger and effective laws need to be put into place. The loopholes made visible during the atrocious attacks on Mumbai in the administration & intelligence structure need to be plugged on a priority basis. Better coordination is needed between state and central governments. A single, central & powerful federal agency needs to be created to fight terror. The administration, the officials, various government employees, the police and the public need to be trained to fight & respond to terror attacks. We, as a nation, need to go beyond candle-light marches to effectively uproot this menace.
In this entire monstrous episode, the roles of National Security Advisor, Mr M K Narayan and Union Defence Minister Mr AK Anthony are also under question. Merely by forcing Mr Shivraj Patil & Mr Vilasrao Deshmukh to resign, the government & the Prime Minister cannot disown their responsibilities. This charade of resignations is simply insufficient and does not solve an iota of the basic problem of terrorism.
Now, we need to focus on the strengthening of the weak-links of our system, create a comprehensive strategic plan, and then implement tangible & effective actions to ensure that we are able to fight any future terror attacks, and bring to justice, the perpetrators of Mumbai & other terror attacks.
Speaking on the conception of the Jago Party, Sh Mittal said, “Jago is an upcoming national political party with an out-of-the-box radical vision, led by educated & competent individuals dedicated to working beyond petty political agendas for the common good of the Indian masses. We witnessed that all political parties, be they national or regional, were playing division politics based on caste and religion. They were silently endorsing corruption and criminalization in politics. Hence, gathering a national team of like-minded people, with the objective of providing Indian masses with a trustworthy and honest political option, we formed the Jago Party in August 2007. The national Election Commission registered Jago as a political party in January 2008.”
“We entered the political arena, not because we like politics or with any intention of taking to politics as a profession. We dislike the current scenario in politics & the current political players, as much as any ordinary citizen, but it is clear to us that we cannot clean the system from the outside. We have to become a part of the system to effect a transformation from the inside. We consider corruption, crime and reservations to the biggest challenges that our society today faces. We are against any politicization on the basis of caste or religion. We will provide the voting public with dependable candidates who are honest and free from any taint of corruption or crime of any kind. Also professional politicians who have contested elections from other parties will never be considered as candidates.”
“We consider schools and colleges to be the temples of modern India where the next generation will be formed and shaped. We are highly delighted at the support that we have received all over the country, especially from the educated sects and we are confident that we will be successful in performing to the hopes of our supporters in the coming Lok Sabha Elections,” added Sh Mittal.
Sh Mittal declared that Jago will further intensify the party’s massive Awareness Drive, where workers will campaign door-to-door educating masses to the party’s programmes against Terrorism, Reservations, Corruption, Crime, & Poverty all over the nation.
